Hannah invites you to the Toronto Heel ‘n’ Wheel-a-Thon (Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of Canada)

Hi, My name is Hannah and I am 17 years old. I have been living with Crohns Disease for almost six years now, and I am one of 201000 people living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in Canada. This year, I am very happy to be the Honorary Chair of the Toronto Heel n Wheel-a-Thon for the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC)! As Honorary Chair, I would like to invite you to join me on Sunday, June 14th, 2009 at Sunnybrook Park for our 14th annual event. I want to make this year the best, so I challenge everyone to form a Heel n Wheel-a-Thon team! Create T-shirts and interesting team names to make it that much better. Last year, our team was called the Cranky Colons, and with our bright green shirts, the 18 of us certainly stood out from the crowd! You will be able to find us again this year but with a slight change of name Cranky Colons Part 2. Approximately 9200 new cases of IBD are diagnosed each year. We need to find a cure today before this number increases. If you are unable to join us on June 14th, you can go to the Toronto Heel n Wheel-a-Thon website at www.heelnwheelathon.ca to pledge me, the Honorary Chair of this years event! Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and I hope to see you all there. Together we can make a difference and FIND a cure!
